The Europa sports facility will be the home of Gibraltar’s Rugby Football Union, Cricket Association, Squash Association and Darts Association as well as catering for many other sports and performing arts. The large playing field will contain an international standard rugby and cricket pitch along with three futsal pitches and cricket nets. The playing field can also be used for football, and contain a second smaller rugby pitch. There are 800 permanent spectator seats to the west, with the option for a further 800 temporary seats for matches to the East.
Internally there are six squash courts with spectator seats, a large multipurpose sports hall (same size as the Tercentenary Hall) with spectator seats, a small sports hall for cricket nets or general training, Darts club, with 10 oches and a completion stage, gymnasium, two general purpose changing rooms and four team changing rooms that can be used for both inside and outside sports. The Building will also contain a bar, café and members’ rooms for the resident clubs. Dormitories for visiting teams are provided. Lecture and seminar rooms are included for the sporting Associations
